The GSG (Gemeinsame Systemgruppe) is the IT administration of the department of computer science, and they recently made it possible for students to access CIP-Pool computers via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). This might be of interest to you if you have problems setting up and configuring things like compilers, build tools, IDEs or Linux due to e.g. weak hardware. Through this connection, you can access ready-to-use Linux computers in the IT network that are equipped with good hardware. You can read how to set this up in the GSG help article below. There is also an article on how to set up a necessary VPN or SSH access and a computer science account in case that you don’t already have one.
